Thank you for considering RGSKL for your child’s education. We understand that choosing the right school in Malaysia is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child’s future. Whether you are relocating internationally or moving within Malaysia, navigating the admissions process can feel daunting.
At RGSKL, we are committed to making this journey as smooth as possible. From your first enquiry to your child’s first day, our dedicated Admissions Team will guide and support you every step of the way.
Our application process is designed to be clear and straightforward. Below you will find all the information you need to complete your child’s application, along with step-by-step instructions. Join us with our easy 5-steps process
Step 2 – Submit supporting documents and application fee
Please submit the following documents, which must all be photographs of the original versions. You can upload them via the online application form:

School Reports: The last 2 years (if applicable), including testimonials and recommendations

Psycho-educational or Special Education Evaluation Reports (if applicable)

Passport-sized photographs: 3 copies of electronic JPEG images

Photocopies of child’s:
Passport and birth certificate
Immunisation records

Photocopies of Parent’s/Guardian’s:
Passport and/or each legal guardian’s passport (where applicable)

Original deed, will or court order to indicate guardianship/custody (if applicable)

Caregiver Agreement (if applicable) and a photocopy of caregiver’s passport
A non-refundable Application Fee of 1500 MYR must be paid when submitting your application. Application Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Click HERE to view the available payment options.
Please note: these documents must be supplied in English. If documents are not in English, please provide official translated copies. Translations must be carried out by a Notary Public, a Translation Agency or your own National Embassy.
Step 3 – Assessment and/or interview
To ensure that Reigate Grammar School KL is the best fit for your child, we have a personalised assessment process.
Once your application is complete, we will work with you to schedule an assessment. This can be conducted on-campus in Malaysia or remotely, depending on each family’s situation.
For Pre-Nursery to Year 1

Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4)

WIDA interview test (for up to Year 6) or a SLATE test (for Year 6 and above) – I would like to discuss this with SLT and the EAL team to introduce this.

Step 4 – Application Review
Once all documents and any required assessments have been submitted, our Academic Team will carefully review your child’s application. Our aim is to ensure that RGSKL provides the right environment for your child to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
While we do not provide detailed feedback on individual assessment results, we will keep you updated throughout the process so you know what to expect at each stage.
Step 5 – Application outcome
If an offer is made, we’ll ask you to confirm your child’s place by signing the online student contract within seven (7) days and paying the enrollment fee. If no place is available at that time, your child may be placed on our waiting list.
If a place becomes available subsequently, the Admissions Team will contact you.
